The year 20XX, rumors of abandoned areas exhibiting strange levels of activity were surfacing on the internet. Described in these locations were manifestations of shadow figures, atmospheric pressure changes, and mind-warping events which were transcribed as 'paranormal', 'supernatural', 'otherworldly'. Very few have been outspoken with the extent of their encounters, and the publicized tales share a prominent detail labelled similarly as 'lost time'. Inveigled by the shadows, these subjects would often wake in the same place, albeit many hours, or days later, though incidents rumored to be of a greater duration have not been notably undocumented.
