ANOCRIS - Lore and Species

The shadow dimension....

The dwelling place of a species of shadow creatures that were previously unknown in this dimension. Their existence is brought about by pure emotion, be it a desperate need for pleasure, or purely sinister intentions. These shape-shifting creatures delve into the minds of the being who calls them forth, and invokes their deepest desires through physical, dream-like states, mending and twisting reality to fit the summoner's whims. Once the desire is fulfilled, or if the creature is manually expelled, the creature will vanish. Multiple invocations of a creature may increase it’s strength and duration outside its dimension, and in so doing can allow the creature to be interacted with in a tangible manner. Beware times at a great height of power, as an unbridled shadow may take action against the summoner's will.

◘ Shadow creatures do not possess a name until they reach the highest rank of power, or have one bestowed upon them by their summoner.
◘ Unless it is of a high-ranking shadow, they cannot transform into beings with a far greater mass than the one who summoned them.
◘ There can be several shadows of similar or varying species present at once.
◘ Their primary target is predominantly male-identifying species.

Loredana - X Rank
Of the highest rank of shadow creature, they can manifest at the behest of the summoner or other strong emotions without restraint, and can bend lower shadow creatures and others to their will. They cannot be banished from their present dimension, and can become very territorial until they themselves choose to move on. They often appear humanoid, except when the wiles and imaginations of the summoner runs wild, and empowers them to shift and manipulate themselves per the fantasy. Loredana are rare beasts with few confirmed existences, and even more that remains unknown.

The odds of creatures in Anocris attaining this rank on their own is next to nil.

Khovita - 1st Rank

Of the second rank of shadow creatures, this myriad of shadow tentacles are near-formless creatures which can take the shape of objects of for both delightful pleasure and deliberate pain. Their strength is nearly unparalleled in great undulating numbers, unless in languid ministrations with a Loredana ranked creature who desires to be pleasured in every way. They are fiercely loyal to their masters, be it summoner or Loredana, but any distraction for a summoner can vanquish this beast back to Anocris, and can leave both summoner and shadow deeply unsatisfied. These are most commonly sighted in the farther reaches of the realm.

Suhomei - 2nd Rank

Of the middle rank of shadow creatures that maintains the appearance of fog or dark clouds. They are capable of tightening the structure of their bodies to form tendrils for capturing prey or the shape desired by their summoners. They can also extend their shapeless forms to a great length, however, limitations arise when holding creatures and modifying their shape; as their mass remains the same despite the extension, there is no increase in physical capabilities. These are most commonly sighted in the sky within the realm, caught in crooks or corners, or simply floating about at random.

Envestus - 3rd Rank

A creature that nearly always appears as an anthropomorphic pillar of shadow. While not limited in self manipulating ability, it never exceeds the mass of it’s evolution from the fusion of multitudes of Uncello. This species of shadow creature dwells between mid-rank, and lowest rank for that reason. These are mostly sighted in the depth of the realm, as it is easiest for them to move and fuse in the unoccupied spaces afforded to them.

Uncello - 4th Rank

Of the lowest rank shadow creatures, they are small beings that appear flickering like a candle flame until gathering enough power to manifest into a solid creature. They move only in swarms, and generally flock around shadow creatures more powerful than they are. Subsisting on the aftermath of summons, incantations, or feedings, they generally ensure that there are no traces of a higher ranking shadow’s presence left behind for another’s detection, and wherever there is a high ranking shadow, these unseen creatures will surely be in attendance, patiently waiting for their turn in the circumstance. These are very common creatures and easy to miss, as they phase and fade so frequently from their energy use. They remain one of the only species in the realm that is tolerated by the others.

Tentagami- No Rank

Aggressive and ruthless, this masked tentacle abomination, fucks, feeds, and kills anything captured as it's prey. Do not approach unless you have excessive healing capabilities and a whole lot of free time to either escape the creature, or completely destroy it. Appears in the outer realms, and at the borders of Anocris substructures at a Loredana's hold. If the Loredana discovers them there however, they will be immediately dispatched without mercy. Despite this fickle relationship, these creatures serve as loyal guards at their master's domiciles.

Phigen - Unranked

Forbidden creatures borne from incorrect rituals and the doleful character’s complacency. Soulless and emotionless, these misshapen bags of flesh, tongue, and liquid, these thoughtless creatures exist only as bottom feeding fuck toys, and are birthed from pure rage instead of pleasure. This beast only cares for it’s own existence and that which can prolong it, and with it's meager power, can only exist in the realm of Anocris; it is easy prey for any creature, and can be found anywhere within.
